The only negative experience was the doctor not asking about my biopsy.
I am a 6'7" man. For a long time my provider has told me I needed to lose over 100lbs. I am in pretty good shape and have always been frustrated about this. But I never said anything. This time I finally said that it seemed crazy I had to lose so much weight. She looked it up and noticed that they had been putting in that I was 5'7" so my BMI was way off. One look at me and you know I am not 5'7". This just cemented my belief that my provider simply reads the screen lays out the rehearsed lines that she is supposed to and moves on down the conveyor belt. I strongly feel I have been receiving cookie cutter medical help. I have to flat out tell her I want to see this specialist or that one and I don't feel anything happens unless I push the issue. She is happiest reading off the screen for 30 seconds without looking at me and moving on. I have tried to communicate with her and improve things, but to no avail. I will just have to find another provider. I am VERY frustrated with the care my provider is giving me. I hope you realize this isn't just me complaining. I try to give her credit for what she does well and I have no personal problem with her at all. She is obviously very intelligent and knowledgeable. She is just more interested in getting out to her next patient instead of providing individualized care. I find that frustrating.
Dr. mostly spoke to parent as I was unable to due to a major headache.
Made sure to explain my options.
I am pleased to have chosen the right dr.
